Gold prices skyrocket by Rs11,200 per tola in Pakistan this week

The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs4,300 per tola on Thursday, reaching Rs358,400, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association. This marks an increase from its previous rate of Rs354,100.

While gold prices held steady on Wednesday, the precious metal saw a jump of Rs6,900 per tola in the first two days of the week. With today’s gain, the total increase for the week now stands at Rs11,200 per tola.

In terms of 10 grams, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,687 to Rs307,270 from Rs303,583, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,380, reaching Rs281,674 from Rs278,294.

Silver prices also saw an upward movement, with per tola and 10-gram rates increasing by Rs159 and Rs136, taking them to Rs3,745 and Rs3,210 respectively.

On the global front, gold prices jumped by $43, climbing to $3,400 from $3,357. Silver prices followed suit, increasing by $1.59 to $35.87 from $34.28, as per the association’s report.
