The price of gold, which had closed at Rs309,500 on Monday (February 24), has since dropped by Rs9,500 per tola.
The price of 24 karat gold per tola declined by Rs500 and was sold at Rs300,000 on Saturday against its sale at Rs300,500 on the previous transaction day, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association reported.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a decline of Rs. 438, bringing it down from Rs257,639 to Rs257,201. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 393, reducing its value from Rs 236,169 to Rs 235,776.
In the silver market, the per tola price decreased by Rs10, bringing it to Rs3,240. However, the price of 10-gram silver saw a slight increase of Rs 9, reaching Rs 2,777.
On the global front, gold prices in the international market dropped by $6, going from $2,863 to $2,857. Meanwhile, the price of silver in global markets declined by $0.9, settling at $31.05.
