Gold prices fall by Rs1,595 per tola in Pakistan on June 20

KARACHI: Gold prices continued their downward streak in Pakistan on June 20, 2025, in line with a global decline, bringing some relief to potential buyers.

According to the Sarafa Association, the price of gold dropped by Rs1,595 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs357,000. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams fell by Rs1,368, now priced at Rs306,069.

On the global front, gold prices also fell by $16 per ounce, with the international rate now at $3,356, which includes a $20 premium, according to APGJSA.

Silver followed suit, shedding Rs24 per tola, and the new silver rate stands at Rs3,796.

Experts say this persistent decline in gold rates is largely due to global economic factors, including a firmer U.S. dollar, rising interest rates, and shifting demand, all of which are pushing gold prices downward.
