From June 19 to 26, gold prices in Pakistan showed modest fluctuations. The rate started at Rs358,595 on June 19 and dipped to its lowest at Rs354,365 on June 24, before slightly rebounding to Rs356,000 on June 26.
While the changes indicate some movement, overall, the trend has remained fairly steady, reflecting minor shifts likely driven by short-term market forces or external economic cues.
On the global front, gold prices also edged lower. The international market rate stood at $3,274 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, reflecting a $16 decrease.
Analysts suggest the drop is linked to a stronger U.S. dollar and reduced geopolitical tension, both of which have weakened gold’s appeal as a safe-haven investment.
