Gold prices drop by Rs1,500 Per tola in Pakistan after sharp weekly rise

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable dip on Friday, with the rate for 24-karat gold falling by Rs1,500 per tola to Rs355,500, down from Rs357,000 a day earlier, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

This drop follows a significant surge of Rs7,600 per tola earlier in the week, bringing the net gain for the week so far to Rs6,100 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs1,286, now priced at Rs304,783, compared to Rs306,069 previously.

For 22-karat gold, the 10-gram rate decreased by Rs1,179, settling at Rs279,394 from the earlier Rs280,573.

Meanwhile, silver prices held steady, with per tola and 10 grams remaining unchanged at Rs3,871 and Rs3,318, respectively.

On the global front, gold slipped by $15 per ounce to $3,335, down from $3,350, while silver prices remained flat at $36.87.
