Gold prices in Pakistan dropped for the second day in a row on Friday, mirroring a global dip as regional tensions persisted.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,800 per tola, bringing it down to Rs350,900.
Likewise, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs1,543, now standing at Rs300,840.
Meanwhile, silver rates held steady. The price of one tola of silver remained at Rs3,417, and 10 grams at Rs2,929, according to the association.
Internationally, gold slipped by $18 per ounce, settling at $3,325, as investor interest cooled due to shifting regional dynamics.
Reuters noted that US gold futures rose by 0.8% to $3,334.30. In other precious metals, spot silver dipped 0.2% to $32.44 an ounce, platinum edged up 0.6% to $981.94, and palladium increased 0.4% to $980.15.
