Gold prices decline for third consecutive day in Pakistan

The price of 24 karat gold dropped by Rs2,245 per tola on Wednesday, now trading at Rs359,055 compared to Rs361,300 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

This marks the third straight day of declines in gold prices, following a Rs700 drop on Monday and a Rs1,000 fall on Tuesday.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24 karat gold came down by Rs1,925, settling at Rs307,831 from the earlier Rs309,756.

For 10 grams of 22 karat gold, the price decreased by Rs1,765 to Rs282,188 from Rs283,953.

On the other hand, silver prices went up. The rate for one tola rose by Rs22 to Rs3,878, while 10 grams increased by Rs19, reaching Rs3,324.

In the international market, gold prices dipped by $20, coming down to $3,378 from $3,398. Meanwhile, silver saw a modest rise of $0.22, bringing it to $37.20, the Association reported.
