Gold prices continue surge, up Rs6,900 in just two days

On Tuesday, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,000 per tola, reaching Rs354,100, up from Rs353,100 the day before, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

This increase follows a sharp jump of Rs5,900 per tola recorded on Monday, bringing the total two-day rise in gold prices to Rs6,900.

The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs857 to Rs303,583, compared to the previous rate of Rs302,726. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs786, now costing Rs278,294 from the earlier Rs277,508.

Silver also saw a price hike, with per tola rates increasing by Rs130 to Rs3,586, while 10 grams rose by Rs112 to Rs3,074.

Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices increased by $10, rising from $3,347 to $3,357, and silver went up by $1.3 to reach $34.28, the Association reported.
