Gold prices break records for second day in row

Gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Wednesday, continuing a sharp upward trend for the second straight day, as per figures shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs8,600 per tola, setting a new record at Rs348,000, while the cost of 10 grams also surged by Rs7,373, reaching Rs298,353.

This rise mirrors global market movement, where gold prices soared by $46, bringing the international rate to $3,310 per ounce.

Just a day earlier, both local and global gold prices were on the rise as well. In the international market, gold gained $6, touching $3,224 per ounce, and in Pakistan, the price of 10 grams went up by Rs514, settling at Rs290,980.
