Gold prices surged in both local and international markets, with rates in Pakistan increasing by Rs1,400 per tola to reach Rs349,300.
According to the Saraffa Association, the price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs1,200, now standing at Rs299,468.

On the global front, gold prices also moved higher, increasing by $14 to reach $3,309 per ounce. Silver followed suit, climbing by Rs32 to settle at Rs3,480 per tola.
