Eidul Fitr 2025: Prayer timings, three major prayer grounds in Dubai, UAE

The Eidul Fitr prayer holds great importance in Islam, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramazan.

This special Islamic prayer is performed on the morning of Eid, typically in mosques, open grounds, or large gathering spaces.

Before attending the prayer, Muslims are required to give Fitrana, a charitable donation meant to help those in need celebrate the occasion.

It is also considered Sunnah to return home using a different route after the prayer and to greet others with “Eid Mubarak.”

Three Major Prayer Grounds in Dubai

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced that it is prepared to host around 35,000 worshippers for the Eidul Fitr prayer in 1446 AH – 2025.

Three main prayer sites have been designated to accommodate large gatherings:

  • Al Quoz Prayer Ground – Can hold over 10,000 worshippers.
  • Muhaisnah Prayer Ground – Has a capacity of 7,000 to 10,000 worshippers.
  • Jebel Ali Prayer Ground – Can accommodate approximately 15,000 worshippers.

Apart from these designated spaces, Dubai is home to several mosques where Eid prayers can be performed, each offering a unique architectural and spiritual experience.

Some of the prominent ones include:

  • Jumeirah Mosque
  • Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque
  • Grand Mosque (Bur Dubai)
  • Al Barsha Eid Musalla
  • Musalla Eid (Nad Al Hamar)

Eidul Fitr Prayer Timings

In Dubai, the prayer is expected to take place 20 to 25 minutes after sunrise, likely between 6:12 AM and 6:20 AM. However, the exact timing will be officially confirmed by the relevant authorities in the coming days.

When is Eid in the UAE?

Eidul Fitr in the UAE is anticipated to fall on March 30. However, the final date will be determined by the moon sighting committee’s official announcement.
