Eidul Azha celebrated nationwide with traditional zeal, religious fervour

Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated today with deep religious devotion to honor the profound sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

The day began with special prayers in mosques for the peace, progress, and unity of the Muslim world and the country.

Eid congregations took place at mosques, open grounds, and Eidgahs across cities, towns, and villages, where religious leaders reflected on the powerful meaning of the sacrifices made by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

Families are performing Qurbani, the ritual animal sacrifice, in accordance with the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).

To maintain cleanliness, municipal authorities have put in place special measures for the timely disposal of offal and waste over the three days of Eid.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent heartfelt greetings to the nation and the Muslim world, encouraging people to remember the oppressed in Palestine and Kashmir during this time.

In his message, he said, “I felicitate from the core of my heart the whole Pakistani nation and the Islamic world on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and the magnificent Islamic ritual of Hajj.”

He further reflected on the unmatched faith and sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), noting that Allah was so pleased with their devotion that He made their actions an act of worship.

The Prime Minister prayed for the acceptance of all prayers and sacrifices from the people of Pakistan and Muslims everywhere.

President Asif Ali Zardari also extended Eid greetings, urging everyone to embrace values of unity, love, and sacrifice.

“This day revives in us the spirit of faith, sacrifice, selflessness, and brotherhood. I pray that Allah Almighty makes this day a source of blessings, unity, and prosperity for our country and the entire Muslim Ummah. Ameen,” he said.

President Zardari paid tribute to the steadfastness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), emphasizing how their unwavering obedience to Allah should inspire people today. He encouraged the public to draw lessons from their spirit of devotion and integrate them into everyday life.
