The government is working to provide students with international-standard IT training in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), software development, and freelancing, enabling them to earn certifications aligned with the global job market.

In a major initiative, Maryam Nawaz also announced the establishment of Pakistan’s first “Nawaz Sharif IT City” in Lahore, which will feature cutting-edge facilities, including twin towers expected to be completed later this year.

The IT City will also serve as a hub for plug-and-play call centers, creating both educational and employment opportunities in the IT sector.

Additionally, international IT universities have shown interest in setting up campuses in the IT City, enhancing the region’s digital education landscape.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that these digitalization efforts would empower Punjab’s youth, offering them independence, career growth, and a strong presence in the global economy.

The initiative is aimed at turning Punjab into a center for technological innovation and IT-driven economic growth.
