To ensure smooth operations during Eid-ul-Azha 2025, the district administration of the capital has announced the official locations for cattle markets, aiming to reduce disruption in residential areas and curb illegal livestock trading.
This planning initiative, led by Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, came after a key meeting attended by assistant commissioners and the Director of the Metropolitan Corporation (DMA), where strategies were discussed for maintaining order and hygiene across the city.
Islamabad Cattle Market Locations
Five spots have been finalized for setting up cattle markets in Islamabad: Sangjhani, Sector I-15, Bhara Kahu, and two additional markets along Lehtrar Road and the Islamabad Expressway.
Authorities have pledged to strictly regulate these sites and take firm action against unauthorized cattle markets.
Lahore Cattle Market Arrangements
Meanwhile, in Lahore, the district administration has also planned five temporary cattle markets at Raiwind, Wahga Sports Complex, Nishtar LDA City, Ravi (Mouza Nain Sukh), and Burki Road.
In addition to these, the established Shahpur Kanjran cattle market will remain functional throughout the Eid season.
These decisions are part of broader efforts by both city administrations to maintain public convenience, hygiene, and law enforcement during the busy Eid period.
