President Asif Ali Zardari expressed optimism that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will become Pakistan’s next young Prime Minister with the support of the people.
He made these remarks during a meeting at the Governor House in Lahore with PPP representatives and ticket holders from Attock, led by Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider.
Zardari highlighted that Pakistan stands strong due to the combined presence of all political forces and appreciated the unity shown by parties in backing the armed forces during heightened tensions with India, which he said forced India into retreat.
He reaffirmed PPP’s longstanding commitment to democracy and sacrifice for the country, noting the party’s growing momentum in Punjab.
“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the next young Prime Minister of the country with the support of the people,” he stated.
Describing PPP as a party of workers, laborers, public servants, and the underprivileged, Zardari also accepted an invitation from the PPP Attock team to visit the region.
The president, who arrived in Lahore on Saturday night, attended the PSL 10 final at Gaddafi Stadium as a guest of honour and presented the trophy to the winning team, Lahore Qalandars.
