Pakistan is expected to see mostly dry weather on Friday, October 2, with temperatures likely to rise in the plains during the day, according to the latest forecast.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry conditions across most parts of the country, while northern areas may experience partly cloudy weather. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are also possible in parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain dry, with warmer temperatures during the daytime.
Most plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to remain dry and hot. Partly cloudy conditions may develop in the upper districts on Friday afternoon, with isolated rain and thunderstorms possible in some areas.

Punjab is also expected to remain mostly dry, with daytime temperatures likely to increase.
Sindh and Balochistan are forecast to experience dry and hot weather during Thursday night and Friday. According to the latest official update, morning temperatures were recorded at 27°C in Karachi, 25°C in Lahore, 22°C in Peshawar, 18°C in Quetta and 19°C in Islamabad.
Kashmir is likely to remain partly cloudy overnight, while Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to see cloudy weather. Isolated light rain with thunderstorms may occur in some areas.
The PMD’s latest flood bulletin said continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, with no major weather activity expected in the coming days. However, a westerly system may affect northern areas between October 6 and 7.
During the last 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced dry weather, while the plains remained hot. Dadu, Nokundi and Shaheed Benazirabad recorded temperatures of 40°C, making them among the hottest places in the country.
