The Sindh government has decided to introduce the 2026 recruitment rules, approved by the provincial Cabinet, across all educational boards in the province.
The new rules will officially come into effect once they are published in the government gazette.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo. The meeting reviewed the overall performance and administration of educational boards, examination-related matters and ongoing efforts to introduce digital systems.
As part of the planned reforms, authorities approved the immediate hiring of IT experts to help expand e-marking and digitalization across the province’s educational boards.

The boards have been instructed to fill several important IT positions, including director of IT, website developer, system administrator and network security administrator.
Officials were also directed to prepare updated seniority lists of employees working across all educational boards without further delay.
The meeting also called for better fire safety arrangements in board buildings and improvements in administrative procedures.
Meanwhile, separate recruitment rules for the Technical Education Board are expected to be finalized soon.
It was further decided that certificates would be awarded to board chairpersons who ensured examinations were conducted on time and results were announced without unnecessary delays.
The provincial government said these measures are intended to improve administrative efficiency, expand the use of modern technology and bring greater transparency to recruitment and examination processes.
