Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have increased again across Pakistan, with consumers saying the fuel is being sold for Rs370 to Rs410 per kilogram in different markets despite the official price of Rs241 per kilogram.
The sharp difference between the government rate and market prices has added to the financial burden on households, particularly as inflation continues to affect middle-income families.
Consumers said the repeated increase in LPG prices has made it more difficult to manage everyday expenses. Many also complained that LPG is not available at the official rate, leaving them with no option but to buy it at much higher prices.

Since LPG is widely used for cooking, families say they are being forced to spend more on an essential household fuel.
Consumers have urged the government to make sure LPG is available at the official rate of Rs241 per kilogram, crack down on hoarding and profiteering, and provide immediate relief to the public.
