The Sindh government has established its first Google Gemini for Education Corner at NED University and announced 20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships for students as part of a new partnership with Google and Tech Valley Pakistan.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah officially launched the initiative during a ceremony in Karachi attended by senior government officials, Google representatives, university leaders and students.
As part of the initiative, the provincial government has also introduced an AI training program for cabinet members and senior officials. More than 40 cabinet members, advisers and special assistants have already completed a practical training session conducted by Google for Education experts in collaboration with Tech Valley Pakistan.
Under the Google Career Certification Program 2026, the government will provide 20,000 scholarships to students studying at public-sector universities across Sindh.

The program offers training in several high-demand fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and IT Support.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said AI has the potential to improve public service delivery and policymaking. However, he emphasized that technology should support human decision-making rather than replace it.
The launch of the Google Gemini for Education Corner at NED University is part of Sindh’s broader digital transformation efforts. The initiative aims to equip students and educational institutions with modern digital and AI skills needed for the future.
