LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched a scholarship program for teachers working under the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) as part of its education support efforts.
According to details, the province will award 15,000 scholarships to teachers across different districts. The initiative includes planned distribution for various qualification levels and subjects to strengthen the teaching staff in the ALP system.
Each selected teacher will receive financial assistance of Rs 20,000. Applicants must be between 20 and 55 years of age and meet the required academic qualifications set under the program. Candidates holding a BA or BSc degree are also eligible to apply.

The allocation plan covers different teaching categories, including primary and subject-based roles, with district-wise quotas designed to ensure broad participation across the province.
Officials said the program is intended to support teachers working in under-resourced areas and improve the quality of education in Punjab. It also aims to provide financial relief to educators and enhance access to learning support within the ALP framework.
