Govt to impose full travel ban on highways, motorways during lockdown

The government is set to enforce a complete travel ban on highways and motorways during the upcoming weekend lockdown. Public transport buses will be the only exception.

This step is intended to curb unnecessary intercity travel and ensure strict compliance with lockdown regulations.

Officials have stated that while other restrictions are still being considered, the main focus remains on major roads and motorways. Essential services, such as hospitals, pharmacies, air and seaports, and railway stations, will continue to operate as usual.
