The steady surge in gold prices in both local and global markets has finally slowed down. The All Pakistan Saraf & Jewelers Association reported a sharp decline in the prices of gold and silver in Pakistan as well as in the international market.
In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs13,900 and now stands at Rs549,962. The rate for 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs11,917, bringing it down to Rs471,503.
Silver prices followed the same trend. The price per tola of silver in Pakistan decreased by Rs1,146 and is now recorded at Rs8,904. On the global front, gold prices per ounce declined by USD 139 and have settled at USD 5,272.
