Due to security arrangements, several roads and highways in different parts of Karachi remain closed today, which has caused heavy traffic congestion on major routes.
Traffic movement from MT Khan Road to PIDC Road and further up to Mai Kolachi Road near the railway crossing has been suspended. This closure has also affected traffic flow on I.I. Chundrigar Road.
Authorities have suggested alternate routes for vehicles traveling from Bilawal House and Clifton toward Jinnah Bridge through Mai Kolachi. Drivers can also use the route from Boot Basin to Teen Talwar.
Motorists can also travel via Clifton Bridge, passing through Metropole and Fawara Chowk before turning left toward Shaheen Complex.
Traffic police have advised people traveling from ICI Chowk on Mauripur Road to use Boot Basin and reach I.I. Chundrigar Road by taking the left turn from Jinnah Bridge.
Commuters coming from Shahrah-e-Faisal toward Jinnah Bridge are advised to use I.I. Chundrigar Road via PIDC.
