PIA suspends flight operations to Gulf countries

Pakistan International Airlines has suspended its flight operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai due to rising security concerns in the Gulf region.

The decision follows a major escalation after the United States and Israel launched a powerful strike on Iran. In response, Iran reportedly targeted US airbases in Qatar, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

According to a spokesperson, PIA flights to the UAE, Bahrain, Doha, and Kuwait will not operate tomorrow evening initially or until airspace is restored.

However, flights to Saudi Arabia will continue with revised routing. These flights will now operate on Boeing 777 aircraft and will take a longer path to reach their destinations.

Passengers are advised to contact the PIA Call Center at 111 786 786 for updated flight information or to make changes to their bookings.
