A tragic incident occurred in Iqbal Town, Rawalpindi, where a 5-year-old boy died after falling into a sewage-filled pit near private housing apartments in the Sadiqabad area.
Rescue officials reported that the child was flying a kite when he accidentally fell into the pit. The excavation from ongoing construction had caused water to collect in the pit, blocking a nearby drain.
Following the accident, Sadiqabad police reached the scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
