University of Lahore student dies after fall from campus building

LAHORE: A University of Lahore student, Awais Sultan, died on Friday after reportedly falling from the fourth floor of a university building in what authorities are investigating as a possible suicide.

Rescue teams quickly reached the scene and took him to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The incident caused panic on campus, and police have launched an investigation to determine whether it was an accident or intentional.

The University of Lahore has not yet released an official statement. According to social media, Awais Sultan was a fifth-semester pharmacy student. A video circulating online shows security staff and university personnel near the site of the fall. Viewer discretion is advised due to disturbing content.

In a separate tragedy last month, five students from Dow Medical University drowned at Manora Himalaya Beach in Karachi, ARY News reported. Three students, Sharib, Ashhad Abbas, and Ahmed, lost their lives, while two others were rescued in critical condition.
