The Sindh cabinet has given the green light to allocate Rs964.4 million for buying and running public transport buses under a non-annual development programme.
The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, attended by provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, and other senior officials.
Officials said the funds will be used to strengthen public transport services across Sindh through the procurement and operation of buses.
During the meeting, the chief minister directed all departments to make timely use of allocated funds and strictly adhere to transparency and financial discipline.
The cabinet also discussed various other matters linked to finance, development, policing, social welfare, infrastructure, and governance reforms.
