Pakistan Supreme Court announces winter vacations

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has released its winter recess schedule. According to a notification dated November 22, 2025, the Court will close for routine matters on Thursday, December 18, 2025, and reopen on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The notice, issued under Rule 5 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules 2025, clarifies that while the Court will remain closed, its offices will stay open except on public holidays.

Urgent matters, including court-directed hearings, criminal cases, and other time-sensitive proceedings, will be scheduled before available benches as needed.

The announcement was signed by Irshad Hussain, Senior Assistant Registrar (Admin), who shared copies with government departments, high courts, attorney general offices, bar councils, and other judicial institutions nationwide.
