The State Bank of Pakistan has instructed all commercial banks to remain open on Saturday, 29 November 2025, to help taxpayers submit over-the-counter payments for government duties and taxes.
All branches, including National Bank of Pakistan offices that handle customs duties, will operate from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
NBP branches collecting government payments manually will settle their transactions with the relevant SBP-BSC office the same day, right after the completion of the same-day clearing cycle.
To make this possible, NIFT will pick up all instruments related to government payments presented on November 29 in a Special Clearing at 5:30 pm, and NIFT will share the clearing results by 11:30 pm that night.
