Three students lost their lives while swimming in the sea at Karachi’s Manora area on Wednesday, while two others were rescued, according to the report.
According to Edhi rescuers, out of the five friends who went into the water, three drowned, and two were pulled out safely by Edhi divers.
All of them were students of Dow University and had come to the beach to enjoy a picnic and spend some free time together. The Edhi Maritime Services team took part in the rescue operation.
Rescue officials said the victims’ families have been informed, though they have not yet arrived at the hospital.
