Methodology for QS Asia University Rankings
The QS Asia University Rankings have been released annually since 2009. The ranking system follows the same framework as the QS World University Rankings but includes a few region-specific measures.
Asian universities are evaluated based on several key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-to-student ratio, international research collaboration, citations per paper, papers per faculty, staff qualifications (PhD holders), and the proportion of international faculty and students. Additionally, the rankings also consider the number of inbound and outbound exchange students.
These factors together determine each university’s overall standing in Asia, reflecting both academic quality and international performance.
