The Punjab government has announced significant updates to the provincial education curriculum.
Sources said that after revising the syllabus for ninth grade, work will soon begin on reviewing the eleventh-grade curriculum as well, following complaints and feedback from students and teachers.
Earlier this year, new syllabi were introduced for both classes, but the eleventh-grade content was criticized for being overloaded and containing multiple mistakes, leading to a decision for revision.
According to officials, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has set up special committees to streamline and simplify the material.
Initial proposals for reducing the ninth-grade syllabus have already been finalized, and a formal notification is expected in the first week of November.
