Gold prices hit a record high on Friday in both international and local markets, according to a report. In the global market, the price of gold rose by $14 to reach $4,358 per ounce.
In Pakistan, the price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs14,100 per tola in a single day, while the price of ten grams went up by Rs12,089.
With this increase, gold reached a historic level of Rs459,900 per tola in the local market. The price of ten grams of gold climbed to Rs391,718.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also saw a rise of Rs167 per tola, bringing it to Rs5,504.
