Punjab govt announces full scholarships for top students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved full scholarships for high-achieving students across the province, ensuring that the government will bear all educational expenses for those pursuing studies at institutions of their choice.

The announcement was made by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat during a ceremony held by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Saturday to celebrate students who secured top positions in the Matric and Intermediate exams.

Hayat said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting merit and providing deserving students with the opportunity to continue their education without financial constraints.

At the event, laptops were distributed among position holders in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Task Force Committee Muzammil Mahmood, Higher Education Secretary Ghulam Fareed, Additional Secretary Boards Nauman Jameel, Lahore Board Secretary Rizwan Nazir, and Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman.

Students, parents, and teachers present at the event thanked the Punjab government for acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the province’s young achievers.
