Gold prices jump to Rs397,700 per tola in local market

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Saturday, reflecting the global market’s rise.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs1,900, settling at Rs397,700, while 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,629 to Rs340,963.

A day earlier, gold had dipped by Rs1,000 per tola, closing at Rs395,800. Internationally, gold traded at $3,759 per ounce (including a $20 premium), showing a gain of $19.

Silver prices also moved upward, with an increase of Rs105 per tola, reaching Rs4,704.
