Clerk disappears with fees of 200 students at govt college

A clerk at Government Girls Degree College Dadu has gone missing after allegedly taking admission fees from over 200 students along with their enrollment records, as per the report on Tuesday.

According to details, students had submitted their fees to clerk Zahid Panhwar, who was later transferred from his post. The college administration, however, confirmed that no such fees were deposited into official accounts.

Several students said they had been admitted to BSc, BA, and other departments after paying their dues, but the administration is now refusing to confirm their admissions, citing non-payment. They further alleged that the principal has directed them to submit the fees again.

The affected students, unable to afford to pay twice, staged a protest against the administration. They argued that since the clerk had taken the money, it was the responsibility of the college to recover the amount from him instead of punishing the students.

Despite repeated complaints, students claimed the principal has failed to take action. They appealed to Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah and other authorities to intervene urgently and protect their academic future.
