PTI founder’s nephew Sher Shah sent on five-day remand

An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has granted a five-day physical remand of Sher Shah, son of Aleema Khan and nephew of PTI founder Imran Khan, in the Jinnah House attack case.

During the hearing, the investigation officer presented video evidence showing Sher Shah at the crime scene and sought a 30-day remand to conduct photogrammetric and polygraph tests.

Defense lawyer Salman Akram Raja opposed the plea, questioning the delay of 27 months in making the arrest and urging the court to discharge his client instead.

After reviewing the evidence, the court approved a five-day remand and handed him over to the police.

Sher Shah, the second son of Aleema Khan, was recently arrested in connection with the May 9 riots. Police and the SSP Investigation confirmed his detention.

In a related development, the ATC also approved an eight-day physical remand of Shahrez Khan, another nephew of Imran Khan and son of Aleema Khan, for his alleged involvement in the Jinnah House attack.

The DIG Investigation Lahore stated that Shahrez was wanted in several May 9-related cases.
