The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister’s Laptop Loan Scheme 2025, giving students, freelancers, and young professionals the chance to purchase laptops through easy, interest-free installment loans.
Loan Categories
The program offers three options:
- Basic: PKR 150,000
- Medium: PKR 300,000
- Advanced: PKR 450,000
Repayments can be made in convenient monthly installments over several years.
Eligibility
Pakistani citizens aged 18 to 35 can apply. The scheme is available to university students, freelancers, and young professionals, with priority for those from low-income families. Government employees are not eligible.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- CNIC (front and back)
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Proof of income (salary slip or guardian’s statement)
- Educational certificates or university admission proof
- Freelancers can provide links to their online profiles, such as Fiverr or Upwork
