The Government of Pakistan has chosen “Marka-i-Haq” as the theme for this year’s Independence Day, symbolizing national unity, strength, and a firm commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty.
The announcement came during a high-level meeting led by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who stressed that recent national events have shown the world Pakistan’s peaceful nature and its unwavering resolve to protect its territorial integrity.
He called on institutions to embrace this spirit and highlight achievements in governance, the economy, innovation, and diplomacy.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi affirmed that the country stands firm and united in the face of any threat, saying, “Our civil and military forces are standing shoulder to shoulder.”
Information Minister Ataullah Tarar shared that a wide range of activities is planned, including cultural fairs, poetry sessions, documentaries, national songs, and embassy-led programs, to engage people both in Pakistan and abroad.
The meeting ended with a shared commitment to celebrate Independence Day as one proud nation, united under the theme “Marka-i-Haq.”
