Lahore Qalandars claimed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 title in thrilling end, defeating Quetta Gladiators by six wickets in a nail-biting final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Sunday night.
Chasing a tough 202-run target, Qalandars sealed the win on the second-last delivery of the match. Star of the show, Kusal Perera, remained unbeaten on 62 runs and was named Player of the Final.
Mohammad Naeem added 46, Abdullah Shafique chipped in with 41, and Sikandar Raza provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 22. Other contributions came from Bhanuka Rajapaksa (14) and Fakhar Zaman (11).
Gladiators’ bowlers shared wickets evenly, with Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Usman Tariq, and Faheem Ashraf each claiming one.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators opted to bat after winning the toss but lost both openers Saud Shakeel (4) and Finn Allen (12) cheaply.
Despite the early setbacks, Hasan Nawaz powered his side with a solid 76-run knock. Avishka Fernando scored 29, Faheem Ashraf made 28, while Rilee Rossouw and Dinesh Chandimal added 22 each, taking the team to 201/9 in 20 overs.
Qalandars’ bowling attack was led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who took three key wickets. Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf took two apiece, while Sikandar Raza and Rishad Hossain chipped in with one each.
