Pakistan Railways to operate five special trains for Eid-ul-Azha

To ease travel during the busy Eid-ul-Azha season, Pakistan Railways has announced five special trains to help people reach their hometowns without overcrowding.

These special services will operate from June 2 to June 4, starting with a Karachi Cantt to Lahore train on June 2 at 1 p.m.

On June 3, two more will run, one from Quetta to Peshawar Cantt at 10 a.m. and another from Lahore to Karachi Cantt at 5 p.m.

Later that evening, a train will head from Karachi City to Rawalpindi at 8 p.m. The final train will leave Karachi Cantt for Lahore at 8 p.m. on June 4.

Some of these trains will feature newly prepared coaches from workshops, while others will rely on existing Eid train sets, all intended to offer safer and more comfortable journeys.

In a related development, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi shared plans to modernize railway stations with new, professionally managed restaurants. “Citizens will be able to visit and enjoy these facilities at any time,” Abbasi said.
