Students across Karachi marked an important milestone on Monday as the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) began the annual Intermediate examinations for 2025.
The first paper of the morning session was Mathematics Paper I, specifically for students retaking the subject in the Pre-Engineering group.
BIEK Chairman Ghulam Hussain Sohoo, along with Secretary Muhammad Kashif Siddiqui and Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid, visited APWA Government College for Women in Karimabad to oversee the examination arrangements.
The Chairman expressed satisfaction with the environment provided to students, noting the presence of the invigilation team and the overall orderly and fair conduct of the exams.
He also directed the superintendent to fix any non-functional fans in the exam halls right away.
While speaking to reporters, Chairman Sohoo emphasized, “Holding transparent exams is the Board’s top priority.”
He assured that all preparations had been completed to conduct the exams in an efficient and fair manner.
He also stressed the Board’s strict stance against cheating, promising firm action against those involved in such practices.
Students caught cheating risk having their papers canceled and could be barred from appearing in future exams for up to three years.
