Water tanker hits and kills woman in Karachi

A woman lost her life on Friday when a speeding water tanker struck her motorcycle near Korangi Crossing in Karachi, confirmed by both police and rescue officials.

Initial reports indicate that the tanker ran over the woman as she was riding the motorcycle. The driver quickly fled the scene, prompting angry bystanders to set the tanker on fire before law enforcement arrived.

Rescue 1122 officials later managed to extinguish the flames, and thankfully, no additional injuries were reported at the scene.

In a separate incident, a passenger bus overturned near the Samundari Baba shrine in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, resulting in three fatalities and at least eight others being injured.

Rescue teams rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, and operations were still underway at the time of the report.

Additionally, another accident occurred at Quaidabad Bridge, where a motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a truck. Authorities revealed that the truck driver uncontrolled the vehicle and ran away.

These incidents have raised growing concerns about traffic management and the control of heavy vehicles in the city.
