Pakistan’s Great Wall Motors (GWM) is gearing up to launch the GWM Poer Cannon Alpha PHEV, a stylish and powerful hybrid pickup truck that offers both performance and fuel economy.
The GWM Poer Cannon Alpha PHEV is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), meaning it uses both a petrol engine and electric motors to help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
While popular pickups like the JAC T9 and Isuzu D-Max are already seen on the roads, GWM is stepping into the market with something fresh.
GWM Poer Cannon Alpha PHEV Features
The Poer is built to handle Pakistan’s varied road conditions, from smooth city routes to rough countryside tracks.
It’s a large, commanding vehicle, measuring 5,445 mm in length and 1,991 mm in width, with a solid ground clearance of 224 mm. It strikes a balance between comfort and rugged use.
Under the hood, it features a 2.0L petrol engine combined with a 78 kW electric motor and a 9-speed automatic transmission, delivering a total output of 255 kW and 648 Nm of torque. Its fuel efficiency stands at about 9.8 L/100 km.
The pickup comes packed with features such as LED headlights, a sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a luxury interior that includes massage seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a premium audio system.
On the safety front, it offers top-tier protection with 7 airbags, lane assist, and driver fatigue monitoring, ensuring a safer driving experience.
