The federal government has raised vehicle transfer fees across Pakistan, including for electric vehicles (EVs), with the changes taking effect immediately.
The updated fee structure, announced by the Ministry of Finance, applies to both conventional fuel-powered and electric vehicles, and all payments must be made to the official government account.

Revised Transfer Fees for Traditional Vehicles:
- Up to 1000cc: Previously Rs1,200, now increased to Rs2,750
- 1001cc to 1800cc: Previously Rs2,000, now increased to Rs5,500
- Above 1800cc: Previously Rs3,000, now increased to Rs11,000
New Transfer Fees for Electric Vehicles:
- Up to 50 kWh: Rs2,500
- 51 to 100 kWh: Rs5,500
- Above 100 kWh: Rs10,000
- Motorcycle Transfer Fees:
- Up to 200cc: Raised from Rs150 to Rs550
- 201cc to 400cc: Set at Rs1,000
- Above 400cc: Set at Rs1,500
These fee adjustments are aimed at creating a more uniform process for vehicle transfers across the country.
The government has called on all vehicle owners to follow the updated fee schedule to ensure smooth and timely handling of transfer requests.
