The Punjab government has launched a new laptop scheme, aimed at supporting students, particularly those in higher education. This initiative marks a important step in facilitating academic excellence.
Under this program, 110,000 laptops equipped with 13th-generation Core-i7 processors will be distributed to deserving students.
The scheme is specifically designed for first and second-semester BS students in public sector universities as well as medical students, with recipients selected based on merit.
The online application portal is now active, and within hours of its launch, thousands of students have already applied.
To qualify, BS students must have secured at least 65% in their intermediate exams, while medical students require a minimum of 80%.
According to officials, the response has been overwhelming, with over 34,000 students registering on the portal within the first few hours.
The initiative is expected to greatly benefit students by enhancing their access to digital resources and supporting their academic journey.
