Lahore, Punjab weather update: Rain, strong winds expected

Lahore: Light rain and strong winds are expected in the upper districts of Punjab on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Murree, Galliyat, and nearby areas may experience light rain, gusty winds, and snowfall.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is currently affecting most parts of the country.

Due to these conditions, the weather in Lahore and several other districts of Punjab is expected to remain cold and dry on Monday night. Murree, Galliyat, and nearby areas are likely to experience very cold weather.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, cloudy weather with occasional light rain or drizzle and gusty winds are predicted in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal.

There is also a chance of light rain or snowfall in Murree, Galliyat, and the surrounding areas. Shallow fog may appear in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, and nearby regions during the morning and night hours.

Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to be between 09-11°C on Tuesday and may drop to 08-10°C on Wednesday.

In the past 24 hours, Lahore and most districts of Punjab experienced cold and dry weather, while Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas remained very cold. Shallow fog was observed in some plains.

Murree recorded the lowest temperature in Punjab, dropping to the freezing point (0°C). The relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 35 percent.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 07°C, with relative humidity in the evening reaching 27 percent.
