Massive gold reserves worth Rs700 Billion found in Attock, Punjab

Gold reserves worth approximately Rs700 billion have been discovered in Attock, Punjab. Punjab Minister for Minerals Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani announced that the government discovered 2.8 million tolas of gold in a 32-kilometer-wide area, with an estimated market value between Rs600-700 billion.

The discovery was made through the Geological Survey of Pakistan, and experts from Nespak and other companies will be enlisted to accurately calculate the value of these reserves.

The minister also said that the auction of the gold deposits will take place next month and will be advertised internationally. An auction committee has been formed, and the auction rules will be presented for approval in the upcoming Punjab cabinet meeting.

Provincial authorities have imposed Section 144 in the area to prevent illegal gold extraction. The minister further stated that there have been no reported theft incidents so far.
