Karachi: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched several new initiatives to help and empower youth and promote education in the province.
During an event at FAST University Islamabad, she talks about the plans to give out 100,000 electric bikes (e-bikes) to students in Punjab.
This program is a part of providing eco-friendly transport options to students with their education needs.
The CM also increased the Honhar Scholarship program’s annual stipend from Rs30,000 to Rs50,000 per year.
Moreover, she also announced new plans to offer international scholarship opportunities for students to study at renowned universities around the world.
In these efforts, 2,570 students from Rawalpindi Division have received scholarships in different subjects to help bright students who need financial support.
CM also shared plans to build an education city in Lahore that will bring top universities from around the world to Punjab.
This project fits with her goal to create better education options and to promote international collaboration.
In her speech, she urged students to stay loyal to Pakistan, stressing how important it is to serve their country and avoid doing anything that hurt its growth.
