Pakistan smart ID card latest fee structure – December 2024

The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is now issuing new Smart National Identity Cards (NICs) to Pakistani citizens who apply for an NIC for the first time.

The NIC, which is provided as evidence of your Pakistani citizenship, combines state-of-the-art technology with well-defined business regulations to prove its originality and validity. The unique 13-digit identification number is acknowledged countrywide.

This identity card is the first essential step to be taken by an individual as soon as he’s 18 because it is compulsory to obtain documents like license, NTN, bank account, passport, cellular connection etc. Every citizen of Pakistan, 18 years and above, is qualified for NIC.

In the absence of it, individuals will face various problems, including not being able to take benefits from free services offered by the government.

Applicants can visit any nearby Nadra Registration Centre (NRC) along with the documents needed to apply for the new ID card.

The applicant would be given a token, and later, a Nadra agent would call him/her to jot down his/her details in the system. After the application is completed, the citizen would be given a date, as per the application category, to collect the card.

The authority offers three categories from which users can pick to apply for an ID card. These are Normal, Urgent, and Executive. All these have varied fee structures and delivery times.

The normal fee for a Smart ID card is Rs750, and it is delivered in 30 working days. The urgent fee is Rs1,500, and it is delivered in around 12 days.

Moreover, the executive fee for the ID card rises to Rs2,500, and it is being issued in seven working days.
